Low-voltage systems at two stops are being modernized.
Emil Koch Elektrotechnik GmbH has received two further contracts in the field of safety-critical transport infrastructure. The company is modernizing the respective low-voltage systems at the Ramersdorf and Uni/Markt light rail stations, thus contributing to the technical renewal of Bonn's light rail network.
The projects include the construction of new low-voltage main distribution boards (LVMDs), the phased conversion of existing systems, and the integration of modern switching and monitoring technology. The new systems will be manufactured by Emil Koch Schaltanlagenbau GmbH and subsequently installed and commissioned by Emil Koch Elektrotechnik GmbH.
The work will be carried out while the railway is in operation and requires close coordination with the Bonn public utilities, as parts of the installation can only be done at night or during off-peak hours. The aim is to upgrade the electrical infrastructure of both stations to the latest technological standards and ensure a reliable energy supply in the long term.
Emil Koch Elektrotechnik GmbH has thus successfully implemented two further important modernization projects in public transport.
